RATF ANNOUNCEMENT

RATF KNOT-TRANS by RippedArtTaskForce
The RATF is taking a long breather at the moment due to some unfortunate circumstances with three out of 4 Administrators dealing with life-threatening illnesses, myself included.  So regrettably, I have decided that it would be in our best interest to take an extended break in order to recuperate and be able to resume our work for RATF at a later date, (sometime this summer is my goal).

As founder of RATF, I have decided that our page on DA and External website (rippedarttaskforce.cmptrwhz.co… shall remain active as it is an excellent resource for all.  As the RATF page is still operational, we ask that you please continue your support of our project, and utilize the information contained on its pages to help to assist you with your art theft issues.  RATF has not forgotten about you...WE PROMISE!!!  We are committed to the protection of our artwork.

Since its inception, the RATF has been responsible for 80,000+ pieces of artwork removed from various sites, and at any given time we had over 100+ open cases to assist in their resolutions.  Even if we had only 1 piece of work removed....it was worth it!  So, that is at least, 80,000 works of art thieves cannot rip from DA members.  Everyone of our Admin and volunteers was constantly gathering information passing it along so we were able to update to our page and external site 24 hours a day from all over the world.  Plus RATF was coordinating efforts in dealing with all aspects of copyright infringement to the best of our abilities.  Our dedicated volunteers spent thousands of hours combined to assist us with our project.

I would like to at this time encourage everyone who has had their art stolen:

1. If it happened on DA, then Report it to DA.

2. If your artwork is stolen off-site-REPORT IT TO THE SITE ADMINISTRATOR using the copyright letter on the RATF site (rippedarttaskforce.deviantart.…, and keep on them until your work is removed!

3. If you have a question, we will still try to answer them as best we can, and may take some time to get to you due to our current limitations.

4. Take action yourself to help yourself by placing watermarks on your work…adding a copyright notice in your comments, utilizing the DA watermark, and when you find your work stolen do something about it!

I personally would like to acknowledge the following individuals for their outstanding work, dedication and devotion to the RATF, and its principles. We applaud your efforts for the countless hours of research behind the scenes, to help stop art theft from DA members.  If any of  you ever have the opportunity to speak to these awesome people, please take a moment to thank them for their efforts towards our community and art theft.  Thank you!

****A note will go out to ALL RATF Team members when we resume operations and begin to assemble our teams.****

IT WAS WORTH ALL THE EFFORT OUR WONDERFUL RATF TEAM PUT INTO IT!!!!!!  AS THE FOUNDER, I MUST SAY I AM MOST PROUD, HONORED, AND PRIVILEGED TO HAVE WORKED ALONGSIDE ALL OF YOU AND AM THE BETTER FOR IT.  THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR SUPPORT AND EFFORTS IN REPORTING, RESEARCHING, INVESTIGATING, LETTER WRITING, GRAPHICS DESIGN, WEBSITE DESIGN, and UPDATING.   WE APPRECIATE IT TREMENDOUSLY!!!

AWESOME WORK EVERYONE!!!  :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

*******ONE OTHER NOTE TO THE ART THIEVES OUT THERE.………WHEN WE ARE RECUPERATED, AND RETURN TO RATF.....IT WILL BE WITH BOTH BARRELS BLAZING!!!!......."IT AIN'T OVER UNTIL THE FAT LADY SINGS!!!" AND THAT.....YOU CAN TAKE TO THE BANK!

This person's, :iconpassionheart43:, entire gallery is full of stolen artwork. They refuse to take down the artwork and block and ignore the people who tell her to take it down. One of the original artists even asked her to at least give him credit and she simply ignored him and hid his comment. Here's an example:

Please I would really appreciate it if you could do something about this person. It's not fair to all the artists who actually put time into their work. Thanks!

I'm not sure if you guys do outside DA but this is a big problem. This page on Facebook [link]

Is taking random artwork and not giving credit to the artists at all. A couple of people told this person in a reasonable way that they have to credit the artists. BUT the people of the page (and a few fans) were giving excuses saying that-Its the artists fault, they can defend themselves, its not stealing etc. But people dont know that their artwork is on there, so how can they complain?
And then made a post on their page making themselves seem innocent after giving these excuses. here is a couple of things that they said on Ameilia Cubes post: "Jake Jr the Rainicorn Pup: It's on the internet. It ain't stealing. lol.
~Bonez"
"If the artist's truely wanted us to say they were the artists they would ask us to remove or tag them. Even so you dont need to make a deal out of it. If you dont like the fact that we take pictures off the internet then simply unlike the page. The artists of these pictures can stand up for themselves. So yeah, dont make a big deal out of it because its just not necessary, plus we are not saying that we are the artists.
~ Beemo"
Please stop this if you can thanks.

Both of ~strawberry-kiwi's images were taken from elsewhere. For example, [link] came from [link]

Have you heard of www.dramakoreatebaru.com? A lot of people have been complaining about their stuff being posted there without permission. I filed a report with what information I was given but between the journal with said info and now the site has changed to atlushost. Firefox's web of trust app gives it a low score for being unresponsive with malware and theft complaints.

This girl: [link]

Claimed she painted this beautiful piece of art:
[link]

She said it is her "first arts" (?) and it took a year. >_>

Welllll; the real artist is a man named Lee Bogel, who is an acclaimed artist and has painted many romanticized paintings of Native Americans before. This one is titled "Sacred Bond;" not "my first arts."

She stole his art from somewhere and I believe is selling it. Somebody seriously needs to bring attention to this and stop her from stealing anybody else's art. So please; can you all go there and report her to help dA see it's a serious issue that she is making money off of somebody else's work.

Thanks guys! I really hope we can get this all sorted out. I sent a nice little warning message that she could be banned and I could use some backup. :3 Maybe large numbers of people kindly telling her to stop will get her attention.

EDIT: I forgot to post the link of where she stole it from.

[link]

Scrolling all the way down into 'Paper Prints' you can see the 'Sacred Bond' painting there.

The problem still isn't resolved; btw.

So we still need help getting her to stop stealing art. Dx
