RATF ANNOUNCEMENT
The RATF is taking a long breather at the moment due to some unfortunate circumstances with three out of 4 Administrators dealing with life-threatening illnesses, myself included. So regrettably, I have decided that it would be in our best interest to take an extended break in order to recuperate and be able to resume our work for RATF at a later date, (sometime this summer is my goal).
As founder of RATF, I have decided that our page on DA and External website ([link]) shall remain active as it is an excellent resource for all. As the RATF page is still operational, we ask that you please continue your support of our project, and utilize the information contained on its pages to help to assist you with your art theft issues. RATF has not forgotten about you...WE PROMISE!!! We are committed to the protection of our artwork.
Since its inception, the RATF has been responsible for 80,000+ pieces of artwork removed from various sites, and at any given time we had over 100+ open cases to assist in their resolutions. Even if we had only 1 piece of work removed....it was worth it! So, that is at least, 80,000 works of art thieves cannot rip from DA members. Everyone of our Admin and volunteers was constantly gathering information passing it along so we were able to update to our page and external site 24 hours a day from all over the world. Plus RATF was coordinating efforts in dealing with all aspects of copyright infringement to the best of our abilities. Our dedicated volunteers spent thousands of hours combined to assist us with our project.
I would like to at this time encourage everyone who has had their art stolen:
1. If it happened on DA, then Report it to DA.
2. If your artwork is stolen off-site-REPORT IT TO THE SITE ADMINISTRATOR using the copyright letter on the RATF site ([link]), and keep on them until your work is removed!
3. If you have a question, we will still try to answer them as best we can, and may take some time to get to you due to our current limitations.
4. Take action yourself to help yourself by placing watermarks on your work…adding a copyright notice in your comments, utilizing the DA watermark, and when you find your work stolen do something about it!
I personally would like to acknowledge the following individuals for their outstanding work, dedication and devotion to the RATF, and its principles. We applaud your efforts for the countless hours of research behind the scenes, to help stop art theft from DA members. If any of you ever have the opportunity to speak to these awesome people, please take a moment to thank them for their efforts towards our community and art theft. Thank you!

IT WAS WORTH ALL THE EFFORT OUR WONDERFUL RATF TEAM PUT INTO IT!!!!!! AS THE FOUNDER, I MUST SAY I AM MOST PROUD, HONORED, AND PRIVILEGED TO HAVE WORKED ALONGSIDE ALL OF YOU AND AM THE BETTER FOR IT. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR SUPPORT AND EFFORTS IN REPORTING, RESEARCHING, INVESTIGATING, LETTER WRITING, GRAPHICS DESIGN, WEBSITE DESIGN, and UPDATING. WE APPRECIATE IT TREMENDOUSLY!!!
